Through a partnership, the Kirène Group and PepsiCo – an American multinational – specialized in the food sector, produces and markets the international brands that are Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Seven Up and Mirinda in Senegal.
In an economic context that calls more and more for boosting local jobs, the Senegalese industrial agri-food company makes “Made in Senegal” its credo. The Kirène Group has today at heart to manufacture in Senegal and to consume Senegalese products. This is why these big international brands were targeted in order to consume a product made in Senegal and which will be the pride of the Group.
The Kirène Group is still expanding its line of soft drinks, through the introduction of the star brand Pepsi with cola taste, together with the sugar-free Pepsi max, Seven Up, which marked a whole generation in the 90s in Senegal, and Miranda with its three flavors, pineapple, orange and fruit in 330 ml can format and in 250 ml and 1L bottles.
PepsiCo already has 12 franchise agreements in Africa under its belt, most notably in Côte d’Ivoire, and plans to strengthen its presence in Senegal, a country which is considered a key market with more than 150 million liters of soft drinks consumed on average per year. A major innovation, 2 years in the making and which highlights the will of the Kirène Group to complete its portfolio of drink brands and to offer more choice to Senegalese consumers. With its leading position in the food industry for water, juice and milk, the company wishes to maintain more than ever its drive to be performant, innovative and successful on the market.
